...at the PDS Rings Node (1997)

July 8, 1997

A prototype General Ring Data Catalog is now on line, providing unique new capabilities for selecting ring data sets. It is now possible to select data based on a variety of geometric constraints, including ring radii, radial resolution, lighting geometry, time, wavelength, and instruments. This prototype catalog contains only the Voyager images.


February 14, 1997

WOW! We have completely redone our entire web site. Most pages have simply been rewritten to be more efficient and relevant. Some links are totally new and very comprehensive. The "Voyager" page is a collation of mission, history, background and instrument descriptions not found elsewhere on the web.


January 28, 1997

A new suite of on-line tools is available for the planning, acquisition and interpretation of observations of the ringed planets.


January 21, 1997

A new, streamlined 1995-6 Saturn Ring Plane Crossing page is on line, along with the announcement of a workshop July 25-26, 1997 at Wellesley College. The (now slightly outdated) information and tools from the Saturn Observing Campaign have been moved.
