Position and velocity vectors for Sun, Earth, Uranus, and Miranda in an EME 1950
frame with respect to the Voyager 2 spacecraft. All vectors are geometric --
that is, they are the actal positions and velocities at time SP1950 without
                         compensation for light time travel.

The file is described as three binary tables. The first table contains record 1
(378 bytes) -- housekeeping information, documenting the origin of the file. The
second table contains record 2 (126 bytes), which describes contents of the file
-- specifically the number of bodies described and their names. The third table
(2370 records, each with 378 bytes) contains the state vectors for the four
bodies of interest at varying intervals. A partial record follows the third
table; it was accidentally truncated during an earlier file copying exercise.

This file is included primarily for historical interest — to preserve ephemeris
information that was used by the Voyager Radio Science Team during initial
analysis of the radio occultation data acquired during the Voyager 2 encounter
with Uranus. Analysts seeking to reproduce those original results (or improve
them) should consider using the SPICE files available through the JPL Navigation
and Ancillary Information Facility (PDS NAIF Node).

When this product was delivered to PDS, it was accompanied by a companion --
an ASCII translation of the binary data.

Records were created by a Univac computer, which used 6-bit bytes
and 6-byte words. Bit fields may be 36-bit integer, 72-bit double
precision floating point, or undefined. It is assumed that negative
numbers are stored in two's complement format; but early Univacs used
one's complement, and some Univacs continue to use one's complement
                                           today (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ones%27_complement).

A value 0 indicates that the record contains periodic information about an

These 60 bits contain the mantissa for the Y-component of Miranda's velocity with
respect to the spacecraft. The first bit in the mantissa is the bit representing
2**-1, the second is the bit representing 2**-2, etc. The corresponding value for
the Miranda's VY-Component is the product of the exponent factor 2**(EXP-1024) and
the mantissa with the appropriate sign attached. The unit for the Y-Component of
                                                 Miranda's velocity is km/s.
