Technicians lift NASA's Juno spacecraft onto a dolly prior to the start of a round of acoustical testing. During acoustical testing a spacecraft is subjected to conditions that simulate the intense vibrations of launch and other less intense operations that take place while in flight. In this instance, the dolly provides the necessary ground clearance to perform a functional test of Juno's main engine cover.

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, manages the Juno mission for the principal investigator, Scott Bolton, of Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio. Lockheed Martin Space Systems is building the spacecraft. The Italian Space Agency, Rome, is contributing an infrared spectrometer instrument and a portion of the radio science experiment.
