Morale was high as the Mars Helicopter team gathered for a group photo on Dec. 3, 2018, at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California. The helicopter, named Ingenuity, is a technology demonstration to test the first powered flight on another world. The helicopter will ride to Mars attached inside the belly of the Perseverance rover.
